Psychotherapist-Trauma Focused

We are accepting applications for a part-time and/or full-time psychotherapist employee. We are looking for clinicians with a background in servicing LGBTQ+ and Black/African American, Indigenous/First Nations, Latinx, Asian American or Pacific Islander, other people of color and diverse backgrounds.

Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, social work or other related counseling field required. Applicants must be licensed to practice in Louisiana. EMDR or other evidence-based, somatic & trauma informed training preferred. For example in EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems therapy, or be enthusiastic and ready to pursue an advanced specialty training upon joining the team. Provisionally licensed professionals (PLPC or LMSW) will be considered if candidate has background in somatic or trauma informed therapy practices

The ability to provide trauma-informed care is also a requirement.

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay for clinical and non-clinical services with higher premium hourly pay available once clinician attains full-time status

Benefits: Consultation and support in building up a full-time caseload, flexible schedule, yearly stipend for continuing education for full-time clinicians, referrals; health insurance (once averaging 30 working hours/week for two consecutive months); supportive, empathic, passionate working environment, social media advertising

Responsibilities: Build and maintain a client caseload, provide evidence-based psychotherapy, perform scheduling duties, maintain accurate and up to date psychotherapy notes and files, act in accordance with code of ethics at all times.

Motivated, effective therapists hoping to attain full-time status should expect this process to take approximately 3-6 months. This timeline depends greatly on the therapist. 

Additional Positions available: We aim to bring on holistic, allied healthcare professionals, to include Occupational Therapist, Medication Management provider (APRN, DO, ND, MD), and a Psychologist.
