Taylor Laviolette MS, PLPC

Psychotherapist

Psychotherapist providing counseling for adults looking for support with anxiety related struggles

Taylor Laviolette (she/her) firmly believes that each client already holds the answers they may be in search of. Her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental, collaborative space where her clients can unpack and explore all that they carry with them; gaining awareness, insight and perspectives, leading to discovery of those answers that exist within, all while learning new strategies and building self-development and growth. Taylor especially enjoys working with clients who identify with anxious and obsessive thinking patterns, who hope to build a greater sense of inner peace and mental clarity.

Taylor earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Gender and Sexual Studies in 2017, and her Master of Science degree in Counselor Education in 2020 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and is in the licensure process with the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor’s Board of Examiners.

Taylor works with those experiencing a range of struggles and goals, primarily with anxiety in adults through a holistic approach, pulling from a combination of Hakomi Method (Mindfulness Based, Body-Oriented Therapy),  Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Taylor is an LGBTQ+, race and cultural diversity allied therapist. Taylor meets clients through the Hakomi Method principles of Non-Violence, Organicity, Mind-Body Holism, Mindfulness and Unity.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending and appreciating her time in nature – whether it’s reading, yoga, gardening, camping, hiking, photography, or being with her dog, Ziggy.

Taylor is a climate change aware therapist and enjoys supporting clients in coping with anxiety, grief, and any other feelings surrounding macro-level ecological stressors our world is facing.
