Samantha Rink, MS, PLPC
Samantha primarily works with adults, teens and children in the areas of adjusting to change and loss, self-acceptance and self-empowerment, anxiety, depression and grief. With support and encouragement, Samantha believes her clients have the innate strength to discover a personalized path to healing and self-discovery. Samantha's therapeutic focus is in topics of mindfulness, radical acceptance, and psychological flexibility within a holistic framework. She strongly subscribes to the interconnections of mental and physical wellness. A core belief of hers is that no one is immune to grieving in some capacity; Grief might show up in one’s life through various forms of transition, loss, and death. Due to the complexity and uncertainty that comes with these experiences, grief can often be overlooked, feared, invalidated, or simply misunderstood. Samantha’s goal is to clarify and nurture that journey of healing with her clients.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2018. She earned her Master’s degree in Counselor Education with a Mental Health concentration from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2020. She is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and is in the licensure process with the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor’s Board of Examiners.
Outside of work, Samantha finds connection and fulfillment through painting, creating music, kayaking, and photography—preferably while sunset-gazing.
