Ashley Petty (she/her) creates a therapeutic space rooted in safety, attunement, and genuine human connection. She is deeply committed to offering a judgment-free environment where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful healing. Her work centers on helping clients develop compassion for their internal experiences and a deeper understanding of how their histories, emotions, and nervous systems shape the way they move through the world.

Ashley’s clinical approach is trauma-informed and integrative, shaped by advanced training in EMDR, somatic therapies, and Polyvagal Theory. She has completed the Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapist Program through The Embody Lab, Deb Dana’s Polyvagal Theory Certificate Program, and training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Her work reflects a strong grounding in nervous system-informed care, allowing her to meet clients with flexibility, responsiveness, and respect for their individual pacing and expression.

In session, Ashley draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, cognitive and behavioral approaches, existential perspectives, and play therapy, thoughtfully integrating these modalities to support clients in restoring a sense of safety within themselves, in their relationships, and in the broader world.

In addition to her clinical work, Ashley serves as Assistant Clinical Director at The Therapy Garden, where she provides ongoing support to provisionally licensed clinicians (PLPCs) through clinical consultation, case support, and mentorship. In this role, she helps foster a collaborative, ethically grounded, and growth-oriented clinical environment, supporting both the development of clinicians and the quality of care provided across the practice.

Ashley earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice in 2015 and her Master of Science in Counselor Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2018. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Louisiana and is recognized as Fully EMDR Trained through EMDRIA-approved consultants. She has also completed advanced training in EMDR with children and families.

Outside of her clinical work, Ashley enjoys practicing yoga, experiencing live music, exploring local natural spaces, and spending meaningful time with her family and pets.
